When it comes to dental prosthetic restorations, the dentist can choose between a wide variety of types and materials. Ideally, both full arch dentures and partial removable dentures should have a sturdy and resistant frame. However, the dentist can offer the patient a flexible prosthesis while waiting for the definitive prosthesis.
These types of prostheses are done with a flexible denture machine. The machine presses down heated resin into a flask to obtain a flexible prosthesis.
What Is A Flexible Denture Machine?
A flexible denture machine is a tool designed to craft flexible prosthetic dentures. It is an indispensable device for any dental laboratory.
The machine consists of a press and a flask. However, a furnace is also necessary to make a flexible denture.
First, a resin cartridge is placed inside the furnace through a heating tube. This machine heats the acrylic resin and ensures that it maintains the same temperature throughout the entire process.
Afterward, the resin cartridge is loaded into the flexible heating machine. The technician just has to use the handles at the top of the press to inject the material into the flask.
Once the acrylic resin cools down, the technician can open the flask to remove the flexible denture.
Electric Flexible Denture Machine
An electric flexible denture machine is a modern version of the press machine. It performs the entire process automatically and is controlled through a control panel.
