What Are Endodontic Files?

Endodontic files are special appliances that the dentist uses to remove the dental pulp and shape the interior of the root canal.

These appliances are long and thin and look similar to a screw. They also have a small plastic handle at the top. The dentist can use this handle to hold and activate the files inside the root canal.
